MikroKopter-Tool

Das MikroKopter-Tool, kurz KopterTool, ist ein Windows-Programm mit dem Einstellungen an allen MikroKopter-Baugruppen wie z.B. der FlightCtrl, NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, MK-GPS vorgenommen werden können.
Unterstützt werden die Windows-Versionen 98/2000/XP/Windows7 (evl. müssen Admin-Rechte vergeben werden).

Anschlussvorbereitung

Erster Start vom KopterTool

Ist das MK-USB (oder SerCon) am PC eingerichtet und angeschlossen, kann das KopterTool geöffnet werden.

Anschluss der Baugruppen

Nach Fertigstellung eines neuen Kopters kann die FlightCtrl zum Einstellen und überprüfen der Funktionen an das MK-USB angeschlossen werden.
Über die FlightCtrl werden auch die Einstellungen der anderen (angeschlossenen) Baugruppen (wie z.B. NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, etc.) vorgenommen.

{i} Anschluss MK-USB am Kopter:

  • FlightCtrl alleine auf dem Kopter =>

    • MK-USB an dem 10poligem Anschluss "Ext" der FlightCtrl.

    FlightCtrl mit GPS-System (NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, MK-GPS) =>

    • MK-USB an dem 10poligem Anschluss "Debug" der NaviCtrl.

/!\ Das 10polige Flachbandkabel muss mit dem Anschluss "1" (rot markierte Seite) an den Anschluss "1" der jeweiligen Platine verbunden werden!
Der Kontakt "1" ist auf den Platinen mit einem Aufdruck gekennzeichnet.

Wichtig:
Wird der fertige Kopter angeschlossen, sollte der Jumper am MK-USB offen sein und die Versorgung über ein einen Lipo oder ein geregeltes Netzteil erfolgen.

Besonders für die erste Inbetriebnahme empfiehlt sich das geregelte Netzteil
um bei einem eventuellen Fehler die Bauteile nicht zu zerstören.

Connecting preparation

In front of the first start of the KopterTool and to set the individual components, the MK-USB have to be installed on the PC.

(Alternatively, the SerCon be used for the connection. This, however, requires a correct COM port.

  • {i} If there is no MK-USB (or Sercon) connected to the PC, you cant open/use the KopterTool!
    Also if there is no item (FlightCtrl, NaviCtrl, etc.) connect, you can't use the settings.

First start of KopterTool

After the MK-USB is set and connected to the PC the KopterTool can be open.

At the first start you see the license window:

This window displays the license agreement to use the tool MikroKopter. Also you can chose the language and the COM-port.
The COM port should be set to the MK-USB.
(Which COM port is assigned to the MK-USB, you can control in the Windows Device Manager under COM and LPT ports.)

With a "click" on Akzeptieren / Accept you accepted the license conditions, the default language setting and the COM port.
Now you see the start window of the KopterTool:

  • {i} If an incorrect COM port is set, it can be set new in the terminal window of the KopterTool.
    You can access the terminal windows by pressing the button Firmware update & Terminal in the KopterTool.

Connection of modules

After completion of a new Kopter the FlightCtrl can be connected to the MK-USB.
The FlightCtrl and also the other (connected) components (such as NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, etc.) can be programmed now.

{i} Connection to the Kopter:

  • Flight-Ctrl single installed =>

    • MK-USB is connected to the 10-pin connector "Ext" of the Flight-Ctrl.

    Flight-Ctrl and GPS system (NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, MK-GPS) installed =>

    • MK-USB is connected to the 10-pin connector "Debug" of the NaviCtrl.

/!\ The 10-pin ribbon cable must be connected from terminal "1" (red-marked side) to the terminal "1" of each board !

Important:
If the ready copter is connected, the jumper should be open at the MK-USB and supplied by a lipo or a regulated power supply.

Especially for first operation it is highly recommended to use the regulated power supply
because if errors occur the components will be not destroyed.

Raccordement aux modules

La FlightCtrl peut être connectée au MK-USB.
La FlightCtrl mais également tout autres composants connectés comme la NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, etc. peuvent être paramétrés.

  • Flight-Ctrl installée seule =>

    • MK-USB est raccordé au connecteur 2x5-pin "Ext" de la Flight-Ctrl.

    Flight-Ctrl et GPS system (NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, MK-GPS) installés =>

    • MK-USB est raccordé au connecteur 2x5-pin "Debug" de la NaviCtrl.

/!\ La nappe 10 brins doit être câblée de telle sorte que les pin "1" (repère/brin rouge) de chaques extrémités soient raccordées entre elles sur toutes les nappes !
Le contacte "1" est repéré par un "1" sérigraphié sur chaque carte.

Important:
Si un Mikrokopter assemblé est raccordé, le cavalier sur le MK-USB doit être ouvert (enlevé) et le MK alimenté par une Lipo ou mieux: une alimentation stabilisée

Particulièrement pour les premières opérations L'usage d'une alimentation stabilisée est fortement recommandée
Car ainsi, si un dysfonctionnement survient les composants ne seront pas détruits.

MikroKopter-Tool

The MikroKopter tool, short KopterTool is a Windows-program with the settings on all MikroKopter-components such as FlightCtrl, NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, MK-GPS.
Supported Windows versions are 98/2000/XP/Windows7 (eventually need admin rights to be awarded).

{i} To use a Windows-program like the KopterTool on a MAC, you need on your MAC a program like e.g.
Darwine or WineBottler.

The KopterTool will not be installed. It is as .zip-file available and can be used directly after unpacking.

Connecting preparation

In front of the first start of the KopterTool and to set the individual components, the MK-USB have to be installed on the PC.

(Alternatively, the SerCon be used for the connection. This, however, requires a correct COM port.
A COM-USB adapter can not be used !!)

  • {i} If there is no MK-USB (or Sercon) connected to the PC, you cant open/use the KopterTool!
    Also if there is no item (FlightCtrl, NaviCtrl, etc.) connect, you can't use the settings.

First start of KopterTool

After the MK-USB is set and connected to the PC the KopterTool can be open.

At the first start you see the license window:

This window displays the license agreement to use the tool MikroKopter. Also you can chose the language and the COM-port.
The COM port should be set to the MK-USB.
(Which COM port is assigned to the MK-USB, you can control in the Windows Device Manager under COM and LPT ports.)

With a "click" on Akzeptieren / Accept you accepted the license conditions, the default language setting and the COM port.
Now you see the start window of the KopterTool:

  • {i} If an incorrect COM port is set, it can be set new in the terminal window of the KopterTool.
    You can access the terminal windows by pressing the button Firmware update & Terminal in the KopterTool.
    Left down the COM port can be set.

Connection of modules

After completion of a new Kopter the FlightCtrl can be connected to the MK-USB.
The FlightCtrl and also the other (connected) components (such as NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, etc.) can be programmed now.

{i} Connection to the Kopter:

  • Flight-Ctrl single installed =>

    • MK-USB is connected to the 10-pin connector "Ext" of the Flight-Ctrl.

    Flight-Ctrl and GPS system (NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, MK-GPS) installed =>

    • MK-USB is connected to the 10-pin connector "Debug" of the NaviCtrl.

/!\ The 10-pin ribbon cable must be connected from terminal "1" (red-marked side) to the terminal "1" of each board !
The contact "1" is marked on the boards with a print.

Important:
If the ready copter is connected, the jumper should be open at the MK-USB and supplied by a lipo or a regulated power supply.

Especially for first operation it is highly recommended to use the regulated power supply
because if errors occur the components will be not destroyed.

MikroKopter-Tool

MikroKopter tool, ou Kopter-Tool (Chez nous communément appelé: MK-TOOL ) est un programme Windows, permettant d'interagir avec les constituants du MK tel que la FlightCtrl, NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, MK-GPS.
Les versions supportées de Windows sont: 98/2000/XP/Windows7 (éventuellement avec les pouvoirs d'administrateur).

Téléchargement

MKTool ne sera pas installé directement. Il arrive sous la forme d'un fichier ZIP et pourra être utilisé dès sont extraction.

Préparation de la connexion

Avant la première ouverture de MKTool et pour paramétrer chaque composant, un MK-USB doit être installé sur le PC.

(Le SerCon peut également être utilisé pour la connexion. Mais celui-ci requiert un port série réel.
Un adaptateur COM-USB ne peut pas être utilisé !!)

  • {i} Si aucun MK-USB (or Sercon) n'est connecté au PC, vous ne pourrez pas ouvrir MKTool!
    Et une fois ouvert on ne peut pas utiliser les settings sans contrôleurs (FlightCtrl, NaviCtrl, etc.) connectés.

Première ouverture de MKTool

Après l'installation et la connexion au PC du MK-USB, MKTool peut s'ouvrir.

A la première ouverture vous pourrez consulter la licence d'utilisation:

La fenêtre présente la licence d'utilisation de MKTool. Vous pouvez également choisir la langue et le COM-port attribué au MK-USB.
Le COM port attribué au MK-USB, peut être vérifié dans le Manager de périphériques de Windows dans COM and LPT ports.

D'un "click" sur Akzeptieren / Accept vous acceptez les conditions de licence, la sélection de la langue par défaut et le COM port.
A présent vous voyez la fenêtre de démarrage de MKTool:

  • {i} Si le COM port sélectionné ne convient pas, il peut à nouveau être sélectionné en bas à gauche de la fenêtre du Terminal de MKTool.
    On peut ré-accéder au Terminal en cliquant sur Firmware update & Terminal dans la fenêtre Principale de MKTool.

Raccordement aux modules

La FlightCtrl peut être connectée au MK-USB.
La FlightCtrl mais également tout autres composants connectés comme la NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, etc. peuvent être paramétrés.

{i} Connexion au MikroKopter:

  • Flight-Ctrl installée seule =>

    • MK-USB est raccordé au connecteur 2x5-pin "Ext" de la Flight-Ctrl.

    Flight-Ctrl et GPS system (NaviCtrl, MK3Mag, MK-GPS) installés =>

    • MK-USB est raccordé au connecteur 2x5-pin "Debug" de la NaviCtrl.

/!\ La nappe 10 brins doit être câblée de telle sorte que les pin "1" (repère/brin rouge) de chaques extrémités soient raccordées entre elles sur toutes les nappes !
Le contacte "1" est repéré par un "1" sérigraphié sur chaque carte.

Important:
Si un Mikrokopter assemblé est raccordé, le cavalier sur le MK-USB doit être ouvert (enlevé) et le MK alimenté par une Lipo ou mieux: une alimentation stabilisée

Particulièrement pour les premières opérations L'usage d'une alimentation stabilisée est fortement recommandée
Car ainsi, si un dysfonctionnement survient les composants ne seront pas détruits.

{i} Dans le cas où chaque carte est connectées au MK-USB individuellement, (comme illustré) il est possible de l'alimenter via le MK-USB en fermant le cavalier (en place).
