. Mikrokopter Frame Consturction
The intent of this manual is to help customers who purchased or would like to purchase any of the Mikrokopter Kits with offering proper English setup instructions. We will take you step by step through the construction process of the Mikrokopter, document each step with pictures and explanations. We believe that this way we can minimize the questions regarding these models, also have and give a first hand feel on how is this done, how long should it take, and how complex the process is.

The first in this series is the Mikrokopter Frame construction.

||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top">Let's start the construction with installing the red aluminum square profile first. This is red on purpose, this will indicate the front o the Mikrokopter. Please line up the holes on the aluminum profile with the frame, and push through 2 metal screws as indicated on the picture on the right. Please make sure you do not tighten any of the nuts at this point as we will need to adjust these later to make sure the surfaces are parallel and the plastic screws will fall in place nicely. Please screw on the autolocking nut toward the center of the frame and the standoff at the midle of the frame. || {{http://nghobbies.com/cart/manual/mikrokopter/01_frame/03.JPG}} ||
||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top">This is the bottom view of the same installation. On the far end of the red aluminum square there are 3 large holes. Please be careful for the correct orientation of these holes, the side with the 3 large holes is toward the bottom of the frame - so opposite to the position of the standoffs and the nuts. ||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top">We found that the installation is easier done if we install the middle screws in each of the aluminum squares first, and install the screws from the middle later. Please be careful for each of the squares on the far end to have the 3 large holes in the same direction as the red one. Those are the mounting holes for the brushless motors. At this point you just need to use the wernch to approach the frames together, do not tighten any of the screws just yet. || {{http://nghobbies.com/cart/manual/mikrokopter/01_frame/05.JPG}} ||

||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top">When all screws, standoffs and nuts are in place, you can slightly tighten the nuts and the standoffs. We still need to install sime lastic screws so make sure you can still move the aluminum squares. Care has to be taken with the plastic parts, as overtighening these will result in destroying the thread inside and rendering the part unsuable. If that happens, please replace the part with a new one, the Mikrokopter comes with several spare plastic parts. ||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top"> {{http://nghobbies.com/cart/manual/mikrokopter/01_frame/07.JPG}} ||
||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top">Here is again the bottom view of the Microkopter, with the correct orientation of the screws, nuts and standoffs. ||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top"> {{http://nghobbies.com/cart/manual/mikrokopter/01_frame/08.JPG}} ||
||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top">The next step is securing each of the aluminum squares at with 2 plastic screws. Please use the picture at the right as your reference for the position of these screws. You will find that as you insert the plasti screws, you may need to move the aluminum square left or right a bit for proper fit. Once the plastic screws are in place and the nuts on the bottom tightened, you can go ahead and carefully tighten the screws for the red square profile. Follow this step to finish the other 3 black square profiles as well. ||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top"> {{http://nghobbies.com/cart/manual/mikrokopter/01_frame/09.JPG}} ||

||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top">Going around from inside out, please make sure all screws are properly tighened. Again we cannot emphasize enough to be careful with the plastic parts. Make sure you do not overtighten the plastic nuts on the outer frame, as those will cause bending and stress in the fiberglass frame. ||<style="VERTICAL-ALIGN: top"> {{http://nghobbies.com/cart/manual/mikrokopter/01_frame/11.JPG}} ||
